THIS WEEK at TAP (week of Mar 24)

1. We expect to announce the three winners of the Chicago Opera Award later this week. Announcements in all other competitions will be made according to the schedules published with each competition's guidelines. Visit (or "Friend") our Facebook pages to learn in advance exactly when  information about each competition will be published.

2. We continue to process and receive applications from conductors and ensembles for the spring round of competitions. The postmark deadline for the 2012 contests is Monday, April 2, 2012. If you plan to apply and have encountered an issue that requires you to need more time, please email the administrator for more information at theamericanprize@gmail.com

3. The American Prize is honored to announce that it has a received a gift making it possible for us to award The American Prize—Vytautas Marijosius Award in Orchestral Programming in perpetuity. (Please see related story on this blog.)
